Dryers

Clothes dryer or a tumble dryer is an appliance, which is used to remove the residual moisture from clothing items, shortly after they have been washed in a washing machine.
Dryers may be simple appliances, but they couldn’t be more different, when it comes to the selection of features and cost from model to model, it becomes tough for you to choose one.

The dryer consists of a perforated rotating basket, which holds the damp clothes. A fan blows air through the load, whereas the heater maintains the heat at the desired temperature. Heat is circulated through the tumbler and evaporates the moisture from the clothes. In order to maintain space between the articles in the load, the tumbler spins very slowly. You can choose the traditional dryers, which draws in the cool dry air, heats it and then passes it to the tumbler. Spin dryer spins the clothes at a very rapid speed in order to extract any excess water, which may have remained in the clothes. It dries them in for about two minutes and thus saves time and energy. Condensation dryer also passes heated air. The difference is that, instead of exhausting this air, the dryer uses a heat exchanger to cool the air and condenses vapors into a collection tank. Mechanical steam compression dryers are an advanced version. It does not use warm air, rather it uses the water, recovered from the clothing in the form of steam.

Different dryers have different systems, which help to recognize when to stop drying. They could have a sensor, which judges the amount of moisture in clothes, or the temperature of the escaping air can be measured by a thermostat. Sensors obviously are more costly, but considered more efficient and therefore are cheaper in the long run. It also saves wear and tear, thus providing your clothes, the care they need the most.
All the dryers can very well dry the clothes, but machines with the lowest cost of operation takes an edge over others. Moderately costing dryers offer features like cool down cycles, permanent press cycles, (no heat) tumble only and temperature options. The most expensive ones have sensor system and electronic or computerized touch controls.
The new trend in the market is to sell the dryer with a matching pair of washer. Seen in model homes and apartments, they really appeal your eyes. But the disadvantage is that, if one of them stops working and needs to be replaced, a matched pair is hard to find. They function in the same manner as any other dryer, but look great.

Washing machines and dryers have become much more efficient over the past few years, and also have become very complicated. The number of advanced features available in the dryers can easily overwhelm you. For your households, buy a dryer, which offers features that are important for you and is easily operable.
