Dish Racks
Doing dishes is something that you can’t escape from. Tried and experienced, I can tell you that for sure. Doing dishes sound like one chore from the command, but it also involves drying the dishes and properly placing them. If you are in a bad mood and have been forced to do the dishes, a dish or two are bound to slip from your hand, ensuring a good scolding from mommy dearest. The dish rack came into existence in order to provide a space for the clean dishes to be stacked for drying purposes.Dish racks are one of the most lowly considered kitchen fixtures. They may only be appreciated when your dish rack may get broken and you have no place to store the wet dishes, making you dry the dishes with a towel cloth, which increases one of your tasks. Buying a good rack is very essential. They are available in many colors and designs, but I would suggest that when considering options for dish racks, go for their functionality rather than designs and styles. Try to find a dish rack, which can house many dishes while occupying very little space. All the dish racks have, more or less, the same look and functioned to provide the same features. In short, all of them had same pros and cons. But recently there has been a change. The dish racks have been able to get attention of some product designers who took them as a challenge and brought out new possibilities.
Marc Newson, an Australian designer is a proud creator of dish doctor. It is a heavy duty polypropylene dish rack, which looks like a bed of nails because of the orange and green prongs made for holding the plates, glasses and bowls. OXO Good Grip has also introduced a new dish rack. The stainless steel dish rack has quite a few user-friendly features. It can be easily folded when not in use. It has a wavy patterned frame, which prevents the dishes from colliding with the plates, and keeps them upright. Simple human has come up with a very practical stainless steel dish rack. The top shelf of this marvelous piece of engineering can flip to different positions for accommodating pots and pans of varying sizes and heights. Boston, the space savers have once again come up with one of their lesser space occupying ideas and have designed a dish rack that is made up of polypropylene. It can fold in the middle and locks tightly so that it can be easily stowed under the sink or in a cupboard. An interesting one is the Casabella, which is designed like a turtle providing greater storage area for accommodating bigger stuff as well.
Its time that you actually throw your last century’s plastic or wired dish racks and get a new dish rack with user friendly features for organizing your sink area.
